Double Hope Children started as a way for us to give back to our communities in the same ways our communities have supported us. People throughout our own lives have contributed towards our education, food, and shelter. Some of these donors were family and some of these donors are still anonymous. We want to pay-it-back by paying-it-forward. In the beginning we started helping out with school fees for low-income families in Rwanda. As more people found out about it, they wanted to join in too! So we created this non-profit to grow the mission. Our goals have expanded to include more local involvement. In August of 2023 we worked to get school supplies distributed to over 100 new immigrant children in Portland, Maine.
We want to be the support so families, especially children, are not without hope for their future. We are the support for now to make sure everyone has a chance to thrive in their future.
Together, hope is stronger.
